Spring is here, the daffodils are brightening up my bedroom as you can see in these photos and my lip drawer is being rotated, out with the dark vampy lipsticks and in with the corals, peaches and bright pinks! Spring really is the time of year to incorporate make-up items into your routine to give off that fresh look. I got super excited when I was going through my lipstick drawer picking out my favourite lip products for this season, I came up with six shades in total and tried to aim this at as many people as I could, I chose three sheer shades and three bold shades for whatever your in to.

Revlon Lacquer & Matte Balm's
I have had my Revlon Balms for over a year now and I love them, whether your feeling a glossy finish with the lacquer balm or a matte finish, these shades will have you sorted for Spring!
Vivacious is a nourishing bright pink shade with a high shine finish, it provides an opaque layer of product to the lips and little effort is required (perfect for when your on the go) as it is in a handy chubby pencil form.
On the other hand if your after something a little more long lasting for your day but want a colour that still packs a punch then 'Unapologetic' is the one for you and I know what your thinking, matte is drying right? Not when their formula is packed with shea, coconut and mango, your lips are going to feel considerably less dry than most other matte formulas. It's a super bright pink shade with coral undertones and in some light this definitely comes off borderline neon (but not too intense).

Marc Jacobs Sheer Lip Gel 'Understudy'
Only a recent purchase if you read my recent post (here) you will have seen me talk about this shade. On my lips this colour comes across a teeny bit coral but Marc Jacobs calls it a terracotta pink. Nevertheless I love it for this time of the year, with its shine finish it provides moisture to the lips and has a subtle yet noticeable colour payoff if you like the "my lips but better" kind of look.
Find it here.

Maybelline Color Whisper 'Pin Up Peach'
Another lip product I have had in my drawer for over a year, who says you need to be forever buying lipsticks when the oldies do just fine! It may be an old one in my collection but it is still one of my favourites I gravitate towards this lipstick all year round not just Spring. I literally have no idea why Maybelline called this 'Pin Up Peach' because it's not even remotely peach, atleast not on my lips! It comes across as a very warm coral shade, it's not a lipstick that is going to last you the duration of the day, reapplication is inevitable but I don't mind as it's just so pretty on.
UK readers you can find this lipstick on eBay.

M.A.C 'Toying Around'
What's a lip post without a MAC lipstick? It had to be done, I had to include atleast one shade from MAC and although I chose a colour from a limited edition collection (how annoying is that?) to show you but don't worry because this is actually incredibly similar to the Revlon Matte Balm in 'Unapologetic' which I didn't realise until I swatched them all on the lips for the photos so that was an added bonus! But if you did get your hands on this lipstick it's perfect for Spring, it is on the bolder side and a very opaque hot pink with amplified finish but sure to add a pop of colour to any look.

NYX Butter Gloss 'Crème Brulee'
A cult favourite in the blogging community, just a nice gloss with decent colour payoff to give your lips that "something something" I like wearing this pinky nude shade only on days when my hair is tied back, in the UK we don't get the best weather, gale force winds are a regular occurrence and i just can't stand my hair getting stuck in my gloss so the hair needs to be out of the way. Other than that this is a lovely Spring shade.

So this post was a little bit different from my normal style of content, it was definitely a bit more in depth I don't know if that's a good thing or not? Let me know! I also like the idea of doing the normal wrist swatches and then the lip swatches because I find some shades can look completely different once you actually put them on the lips.

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Last week I ran out of my Rimmel London Wonferfull Mascara and to be honest I wasn't overly struck on it so I picked this up at the beginning of the week to try out and so far I am very impressed!

Normally I am not into these "comb" like wands I always tend to lean towards the fat and fluffy style when I buy mascara but I saw that this one was new and felt like trying something else.
With it being the comb style and having a curve it really grabs every lash and the formula is jet black. There is also no clumping and I can use this mascara for both my upper and lower lashes, with the fatter brushes I used to struggle to get my lower lashes without getting it everywhere so that is a bonus. I always curl my lashes before using my mascara but after application I can definitely tell how much longer my lashes look making my eyes look really wide and awake.

I am so glad I picked up this mascara and I just hope the further through the tube I get it still lives up to my expectations. I will say this is definitely more of a lengthening mascara than a thickening one but it does have some thickening power.
If you are in the market for a new mascara this one is definitely worth a go and as it is drugstore it is also super affordable.

Find it here at Boots.

So this post was supposed to go up on Thursday however I had no internet for three days so it's going up today instead. Nevertheless i'm super excited about these new Marc Jacobs lipsticks I got this week and couldn't wait to swatch them. I picked up one of the New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel's in the shade 'Understudy' which you may have seen on my Beauty Wishlist (here) and I also got three of the  Le Marc Lip Crème's in the shades 'Infamous', 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' and 'Miss Scarlet'.

Miss Scarlet
Described as a dark ruby this shade is a dark vampy red and I actually have a photo on my Instagram of me wearing this lipstick.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Unfortunately this shade and 'Infamous' are incredibly similar which I was unaware of upon purchasing, described as a baked rose colour it is just a smidge darker than 'Infamous'.

Infamous
Like I said incredibly similar to 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' but still a beautiful shade described as a soft peony colour, it definitely comes off a lot less soft on my lips and looks like it has more mauve in it as I have fairly pigmented lips.

Understudy
The only lip gel I chose this shade just appealed to me for a while now, comes off very coral on me however it is described as a terracotta pink.

Find all of these lipsticks on the Sephora website here retailing at $30 each (around £20)

Normally i'm not a nude lip kind of girl, I prefer a pink or a red lip but this month I have been loving this nude lip combo. If you read my post back in February (here)  you will have seen that I picked up three shades from the Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes range while I was in the states. One of these colours was 'Daringly Nude' and I have been loving pairing this up with my 'Subculture' lipliner by MAC, I actually managed to pick the last lipliner up in this shade when I was in Heathrow Airport before I flew to America and i'm so glad I did. These two just work so well together and I can get away with some subtle overlining of the lips with this liner without looking OTT.
This lipliner is also fairly universal I can pair this up with a lot of other lipsticks in my collection including Nars 'Anita' and the Maybelline Conor Drama Pencil in 'Nude Perfection'.

Find the lip pencil online at Debenhams.
The lipstick is currently not available in the UK from normal retailers however they are on eBay if your willing to pay slightly more (with free delivery) find them here.

1. Marc Jacobs Beauty Nudes Sheer Lip Gel
If you read my last post you will know that I am a lover of Marc Jacobs Beauty products so it comes as no surprise that I am dying to try his new Sheer Lip Gel. The thought of a lipstick with a gel formula really intrigues me and they smell like vanilla?! I love vanilla scents. The shade in particular that I have my eye on is called 'Understudy'.
Find it online at Sephora.

2. MAC Cosmetics Cinderella Beauty Powder
Everybody is talking about the new Cinderella collection from MAC this month and if you haven't heard about it already then you must be living under a rock! The whole collection looks gorgeous and in typical MAC fashion the packaging is as eye-catching as ever just like all their other limited edition collections. Set for release online 13th March on the UK site I'm sure I will be waiting with bated breath when the clock hits midnight because one thing is always for sure these limited edition collections do not last long, they are always snapped up fast. Although I would like a few items from the collection the beauty powder is at the top of my list, you can never have to many highlighters!

3. Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour
Clinique isn't a brand I have tried a lot of products from, I use their Stay-Matte foundation but other than that I haven't tried anything else. Although I use powder to contour currently I am curious to try out a cream contour formula and see how it works with my skin.
Find it online at Debenhams.

4. Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow and Liner
Not too fussed about the use of these pencils for liner but I definitely would love to use them as an eyeshadow base to make powder shadow more vibrant on the lid. Also as they are from the drugstore they are super affordable.
Find them online at Boots.

5. ColourPop Eyeshadow
The hype over ColourPop has gone into overdrive, between Instagram and Youtube they are all over social media right now, it appears for good reason, affordable and high quality products. If i'm honest I want everything from their website I couldn't possibly choose just one thing! But for the sake of my wishlist I chose the shadow 'La La' as my front runner! As an additional bonus this company do not test on animals.
Unfortunately ColourPop don't ship to the UK yet! They are expected to start shipping internationally in the future, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Hope you enjoyed reading my Beauty Wishlist!
