My first ever purchase from Charlotte Tilbury! With Summer approaching I was in desperate need of a new foundation after ditching my Urban Decay All Nighter which everyone seemed to rave about but it just looked cakey on me, it clung in all the creasing areas, like round my eyes, nose and on my forehead. With that being said I decided this time I was done with full coverage foundations, my skin doesn't need all that product, I have some redness on my cheeks and that's about it, if anything I just need to even out my skin tone a little so I purchased the Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation. I'm a little skeptical because oily skin girls know, anything with 'Luminous' on the bottle we tend to avoid! This is the finish this foundation claims to give. However i'm hoping if I set with powder I can get away with wearing this on a daily basis.

So let's get down to it, packaging is a dream, obviously! That rose gold lid got me immediately. Charlotte Tilbury is known for her beautiful packaging with a luxurious feel but this means it comes with a luxurious price tag, as a high end foundation it retails at £32 however I got mine on Depop for £25.50 including postage, definitely check out second hand sellers before footing the bill for a brand new bottle, you will find people sell them on and they have never even been used.

I picked up shade 2 Fair, I wasn't sure which shade I needed until I went on Cult Beauty and they actually had a picture showing which foundation suits which skin tones and hair colours best, this helped me decide. It comes in a squeeze bottle, as it is a more dewy foundation you should be careful as you can easily squeeze out too much product, the plastic cap also stays clean which is a bonus I hate when you have a dirty foundation lid from the product build up.

I applied the foundation with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, absolute doodle, blended in seamlessly with no visible brush strokes, I have struggled with this in the past with more dewy foundations. This foundation claims to be bailable, I only placed a blob on both cheeks and on my chin, I was able to do my entire face using this amount only, I leave my forehead because it is more tan than the rest of my face. I then applied some extra around my nose where I could still see some redness, it blended in perfectly without separating the existing foundation.

For sure this is a glowy foundation, which for this time of year i'm all about, however there is a fine line between looking glowy and an oil slick, as an oily girl I do have to set with powder in my t-zone but this is the case for me even when I use matte foundations. I then applied concealer, bronzer and highlight, all three just melted into my foundation perfectly.

Oh hey don't mind me in my dressing gown and bedhead hair! I was obviously in the process of getting ready when I took these photos, all my base products are on and as you can see this foundation looks flawless on the skin and is a great colour match for me, bare in mind what I said about not applying any to my forehead I go as far as between my eyebrows, on my temple is bronzer only.

I am going to continue using this foundation, today I wore it for 8 hours and to be honest my forehead looked the oiliest and that had no product on it! Around my nose could of used a powder touch up but nothing major. I look forward to seeing if this foundation can stand 12 hour wear time when I am in work but I am super impressed with it so far.
