Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette - Review & Swatches | KMC Beauty
by Kelly, July 07, 2016
In my make-up collection I don't own a palette that contains blush, bronzer and highlight in one, so when I saw this palette on Debenhams it was a bit of an impulse buy, I didn't really need it but I knew it would be limited edition and I ended up adding to my cart and purchasing.
Other than the Double Wear foundation that I no longer use (it's a bit cakey for my skin now) this is my second ever purchase from Estée Lauder, i'm not too sure why that is, something about their brand doesn't seem draw me in like other brands, I feel as though their target market is more aimed at older people although i'm sure they are working hard to change that perception with their new releases using spokespeople like Kendall Jenner to draw in the younger customers.
When I looked at the palette for the first time it felt high end, the packaging is really sturdy and luxurious without being excessively large, you can still throw this in your handbag and it's not going to take up lots of room, it also has a very generous mirror inside.
As for the product itself, I have been testing it for around two weeks, if your expecting a highly pigmented palette then this is not for you, it does as it would suggest, gives you a "Summer Glow" but it's not gonna give you an intense colour payoff.
The highlight is stunning, is is a warm golden shade with shimmer running throughout, the shimmer is fine not chunky and provides a substantial highlight with one stroke of the brush, definitely build-able but on work days I find that one stroke of the brush either side of my cheek bones is enough.
Blush is a rosy pink shade with the tiniest amount of sheen, I personally don't find the sheen shows on my skin, it just adds a nice healthy flush to my cheeks on days where I don't feel like wearing bronzer.
Speaking of bronzer, this is my new everyday go to, I find it is the perfect shade for giving my skin a little bit of a tan without looking orange against my extremely pale skin, if you have a darker skin tone you might struggle with this as it may not show up as well if at all but for paler skin tones like myself I love this shade. This bronzer gives my face dimension without having a strong contour and it's satin finish blends easily and is also build-able.
All in all I am so happy I made this purchase, I will say that I don't think this palette is very universal, like I mentioned darker skin tones may not find much use of the bronzer and what is the point in buying a "Multi-Palette" if you can't use all the shades?
This is a limited edition product and it can be found at Sephora and House Of Fraser while stocks last! Boots, Debenhams and Look Fantastic have already sold out of this product, so if you have your eyes on it you should move quickly.
