Spring is here, the daffodils are brightening up my bedroom as you can see in these photos and my lip drawer is being rotated, out with the dark vampy lipsticks and in with the corals, peaches and bright pinks! Spring really is the time of year to incorporate make-up items into your routine to give off that fresh look. I got super excited when I was going through my lipstick drawer picking out my favourite lip products for this season, I came up with six shades in total and tried to aim this at as many people as I could, I chose three sheer shades and three bold shades for whatever your in to.

Revlon Lacquer & Matte Balm's
I have had my Revlon Balms for over a year now and I love them, whether your feeling a glossy finish with the lacquer balm or a matte finish, these shades will have you sorted for Spring!
Vivacious is a nourishing bright pink shade with a high shine finish, it provides an opaque layer of product to the lips and little effort is required (perfect for when your on the go) as it is in a handy chubby pencil form.
On the other hand if your after something a little more long lasting for your day but want a colour that still packs a punch then 'Unapologetic' is the one for you and I know what your thinking, matte is drying right? Not when their formula is packed with shea, coconut and mango, your lips are going to feel considerably less dry than most other matte formulas. It's a super bright pink shade with coral undertones and in some light this definitely comes off borderline neon (but not too intense).

Marc Jacobs Sheer Lip Gel 'Understudy'
Only a recent purchase if you read my recent post (here) you will have seen me talk about this shade. On my lips this colour comes across a teeny bit coral but Marc Jacobs calls it a terracotta pink. Nevertheless I love it for this time of the year, with its shine finish it provides moisture to the lips and has a subtle yet noticeable colour payoff if you like the "my lips but better" kind of look.

Maybelline Color Whisper 'Pin Up Peach'
Another lip product I have had in my drawer for over a year, who says you need to be forever buying lipsticks when the oldies do just fine! It may be an old one in my collection but it is still one of my favourites I gravitate towards this lipstick all year round not just Spring. I literally have no idea why Maybelline called this 'Pin Up Peach' because it's not even remotely peach, atleast not on my lips! It comes across as a very warm coral shade, it's not a lipstick that is going to last you the duration of the day, reapplication is inevitable but I don't mind as it's just so pretty on.
UK readers you can find this lipstick on eBay.

M.A.C 'Toying Around'
What's a lip post without a MAC lipstick? It had to be done, I had to include atleast one shade from MAC and although I chose a colour from a limited edition collection (how annoying is that?) to show you but don't worry because this is actually incredibly similar to the Revlon Matte Balm in 'Unapologetic' which I didn't realise until I swatched them all on the lips for the photos so that was an added bonus! But if you did get your hands on this lipstick it's perfect for Spring, it is on the bolder side and a very opaque hot pink with amplified finish but sure to add a pop of colour to any look.

NYX Butter Gloss 'Crème Brulee'
A cult favourite in the blogging community, just a nice gloss with decent colour payoff to give your lips that "something something" I like wearing this pinky nude shade only on days when my hair is tied back, in the UK we don't get the best weather, gale force winds are a regular occurrence and i just can't stand my hair getting stuck in my gloss so the hair needs to be out of the way. Other than that this is a lovely Spring shade.

So this post was a little bit different from my normal style of content, it was definitely a bit more in depth I don't know if that's a good thing or not? Let me know! I also like the idea of doing the normal wrist swatches and then the lip swatches because I find some shades can look completely different once you actually put them on the lips.

Hope you enjoyed this post.
